Summit Micro Technology RMA Procedures
To obtain warranty service, you must follow SMT RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) procedures when returning a defective product. It is essential that you must return to the one from which you purchased the SMT product. You will be asked to include all product identification information, such as "SMT" labels, stickers with serial number, and if required, proof of purchase.
Please read carefully and follow the below instructions before returning any products.
1.You must first obtain an RMA form and number from your sales representatives and complete with the requested information before sending back any defective parts. This must be done through email (fax accepted only if no email service is available).Please note that the RMA number is only valid for 30-days as of the issuance date.If returning after the valid period, please request for a new number.The RMA form must be attached to the returned goods with the RMA number written on both the form and outside of package box.NO return products will be accepted without the above described.
2.Upon receiving the returned products, SMT RMA dept. will verify the goods against RMA form and reply to customers within 48 hours for any discrepancy.
3.All under warranty products shall be repaired or replaced within 7 days upon receiving.
If any product that is defective on arrival shall be exchanged immediately upon receiving.
